Ayurvedic herbs in Diabetes Mellitus

In Ayurveda diabetes has been described as “Madhumeha” which means sweet urine! In Ayurveda there are many herbs that have proven beneficial in treating or controlling diabetes. In addition, these herbs help to keep optimal general health of the diabetic person by maintaining the health of other organs and systems affected in the disorder. Hence, it is not only aiming at lowering the blood sugar but can act as an adjuvant in diabetes general care.
