Learn about Bifocal lenses & Presbyopia

What are bifocal lenses? Who should use them? How to chose them? Bifocals are not a new invention. They were actually invented by Benjamin Franklin who realized that he was constantly removing and replacing his glasses to adjust his vision, when alternately looking at faraway objects and reading small print. He devised a lens that would let him clearly see both near and far objects, by simply cutting two pairs of different prescription spectacles in half and using half of each lens for each eye. Technology has come a long way since Franklin's day...
