Tofu: A Culinary Chameleon

When most people hear the word “tofu,” the word “vegetarian” usually comes to mind. Usually, the second word that comes to mind (depending on who you are) is “bland.” However, the latter is definitely does not have to be the case. Tofu is a sponge for flavor -- in fact, tofu can be used in almost any dish.

    can u please give a comparison between the amount of protein a particular measure of tofu(in grams) wud give compared to eggs or chicken etc

    Dear Sumeet, 100 grams of Tofu has nearly 16 grams of protein, whereas chicken has nearly double amount. Again these factors depend upon the variety, cooking method etc as well. However, it is claimed that Tofu has other flavonoids etc which act as anti-oxidants and reduce the risk of heart diseases compared to animal proteins.
